Frequency Regulation of AUT Microgrid Using Modified Fuzzy PI Controller for Flywheel Energy Storage System [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2019
Usage of flywheel energy storage system (FESS) is a common method for frequency regulation due to its high power injection capacity and long life time. FESS is equipped by two back-to-back inverters including grid-side inverter and machine-side inverter.

Enhanced Torque Control of a PMSM Supplied by a Four-Leg Voltage Source Inverter Using the Third Harmonic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper investigates an electrical drive composed of a four-leg voltage source inverter and a three-phase starconnected surface permanent magnet synchronous machine with concentrated windings. The inverter fourth leg is clamped to the neutral point of

Globally convergent algorithms for dc operating point analysis of nonlinear circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
An important objective in the analysis of an electronic circuit is to find its quiescent or DC operating point. This is the starting point for performing other types of circuit analysis.

Enhanced real-time emulator for naval propulsion: Application to an electric boat powered by a PEM fuel cell

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Management: X
In this paper, real-time emulation and simulation studies of an electric boat propulsion chain-based PEM fuel cell power source system are proposed. The system consists of three subsystems: the first is a PEM fuel cell emulated by a controlled power ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A Common-Mode Shorting Network to Reduce Common-Mode Excitation of Three-Phase Two-Level Electric Drives

open access: yesIEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy, 2023
Common-mode voltage and current in an electric machine are undesirable. Although the strategic placement of a common-mode inductor and dc input side capacitors may reduce the common-mode current produced by an electric drive system, the effectiveness of ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Double Dead-Time Signal Injection Strategy for Stator Resistance Estimation of Induction Machines

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
A sensorless online temperature estimator is presented in this paper, which estimates the temperature using a novel signal injection strategy. This allows to eliminate the temperature sensors in the machine, as well as their faults, increasing the system

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
