Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Regiorandom Polythiophenes for Fully Stretchable Electrochemical Transistors and Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Regiorandom (RRa) polythiophenes, once regarded as unsuitable for electronics, exhibit exceptional switching performance via volumetric electrochemical doping. Optimized RRa‐based organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) achieve a high on/off ratio (≈104), stable operation under 200% strain, and enable fully stretchable logic gates, demonstrating ...

Research on Large-Signal Stability Assessment Methods of DC Microgrids Based on Artificial Intelligence

open access: yes发电技术
ObjectivesDC microgrids are prone to the issue of large-signal stability due to the low inertia and constant power load characteristics. Traditional model-based methods involve complex calculations and are difficult to solve.

Design of a new outer-rotor permanent magnet hybrid machine for wind power generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper proposes and implements a new 36/24-pole outer-rotor permanent magnet (PM) hybrid machine for directly coupled wind power generation. The key is to design the machine with hybridization of two excitations (PMs and dc field windings) in the ...

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Applying Machine Learning–Based Approaches Using Experimental Data to Model DC Series Arc Fault in Photovoltaic Systems

open access: yesInternational Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems
DC series arc faults (DC SAF) in photovoltaic (PV) systems can lead to electrical fires and electric shock hazards. Therefore, DC SAF modeling and detection is a significant process for ensuring the safety of PV panels and is necessary for producing PV ...

AC/DC converter with DC fault suppression for aircraft +/- 270 VDC distribution systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The increasing electrical demand in commercial and military aircraft justifies a growing need for higher voltage DC primary distribution systems. A DC system offers reduced power losses and space savings, which is of major importance for aircraft ...

Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.

Impact of PWM strategies on RMS current of the DC-link Voltage Capacitor of a dual-three phase drive [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The major drawback of usual dual three-phase AC machines, when supplied by a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI), is the occurrence of extra harmonic currents which circulate in the stator windings causing additional losses and constraints on the power ...
