Bidirectional DC/DC and SOC Drooping Control for DC Microgrid Application [PDF]
In DC microgrids, distributed energy storage plays a key role in stabilizing the DC bus voltage. The bidirectional DC/DC converter in the distributed energy storage system should be designed according to the voltage level and electromagnetic isolation requirements, and multiple energy storage units should be coordinated for load current distribution ...

Coordinated AC/DC microgrid optimal scheduling [PDF]
This paper proposes a coordinated optimal scheduling model for hybrid AC/DC microgrids. The objective of the proposed model is to minimize the total microgrid operation cost when considering interactions between AC and DC sub-systems of the microgrid network.

Off‐Grid Solar Systems: An Experimental Work and Systematic Techno‐Economic Analysis
In the study mentioned above, experimental monitoring and economic evaluation of two off‐grid PV systems were conducted using a low‐cost data logger. The results suggest that basic DC systems are economically feasible compared to grid power, but that AC systems require further cost‐cutting to achieve financial viability.

Feasibility Study and Optimal Placement of Solar Power Plants Using Binary Genetic Algorithm
This study introduces an integrated optimization framework using a binary genetic algorithm (BGA) for optimal siting and sizing of two solar plants (865 and 739 kWp) in Karaj, Iran. The BGA outperformed conventional methods, achieving a 24.3% reduction in power losses and enhanced voltage stability.
