Research on DC Grid Power Characteristics and DC Active Power Filtering
Advanced Materials Research, 2013When nonlinear load is powered by DC grid, harmonic currents and distortion power are produced. At first, the concept of the DC active power filter (DC-APF) is presented in this paper after the analysis of instantaneous power and power factor in the DC network.

Online Monitoring of the Power Transfer in a DC Test Grid
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2010One solution for increasing the use of renewables is to find new strategies to promote the connection of distributed energy resources (DERs) within the existing power system. A solution that allows a flexible integration of dispersed generation (DG) into energy networks is the use of dc at the user layer.

Conducted Emissions on DC Power Grids
2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE), 2018This paper describes measurements and modelling of conducted emissions in the time and frequency domain to characterize the impact of typical DC/DC converters as found on DC grids for renewable generation. A small demonstration HVDC system with active DC/DC converters was built and measurements taken over a range of load and system voltages.
