Comparative Evaluation of Multiport DC Power Router for DC Distribution Grid

A HVDC grid based on voltage source converters (VSC) is an attractive solution for the grid-integration of offshore renewable energy, interconnection of AC grids, facilitation of power markets, and energy emergency support. The operation principle of the dc power flow controller in the dc grid is presented, the impacts of the dc voltage and line equivalent resistance on dc power flow are analyzed.
