Short Report: An Examination of Children's Autism Traits and Their Association With Family Experience

open access: yesAutism Research, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT The present study examined how the frequency and impact of autism traits were associated with parent‐reported family experience, with differential consideration of parental experience and overall family life. Prior research has found an association between autism traits and family functioning; however, less is known about how the impact and ...

Label-Free Detection of Dissolved Carbon Dioxide Utilizing Multimode Tapered Optical Fiber Coated Zinc Oxide Nanorice

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A label-free detection for dissolved carbon dioxide (dCO2) is developed using a tapered optical fiber sensor. The tapered region of the optical fiber is coated with the zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorice and used as a probe for dCO2 sensing.

Distal Chevron Osteotomy Increases Anatomic Intermetatarsal Angle in Hallux Valgus

open access: yesFoot & Ankle Orthopaedics, 2020
Background: Distal chevron metatarsal osteotomy (DCO) is a common technique to address hallux valgus (HV), which involves coronal translation of the capital fragment resulting in a nonanatomic first metatarsal.

Multi‐Omics Profiling Identifies Novel Therapeutic Targets and Pathobiological Mechanisms in Oral Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 15, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Oral cancer (OC) remains a therapeutic challenge due to limited validated targets. Cis‐pQTLs from the deCODE cohort (n = 35,559) were harmonized with OC‐GWAS (3547 cases and 691,466 controls) meta‐data through a two‐sample Mendelian randomization (MR) framework.

PAPR reduction of optical OFDM signals in visible light communications

open access: yesICT Express, 2019
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is extensively used in optical communications to achieve high rate transmission. In this paper, Vandermonde like matrix (VLM) pre-coding approach is offered to reduce the high peak-to-average power ratio (

Analysis of Age, Period and Cohort Trends in Cervical In Situ and Invasive Carcinomas for Assessing the Utility of Screening Approaches—Results From the Saarland Cancer Registry

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cervical cancer continues to pose a significant public health burden. In Germany, prevention relies heavily on regular screening and HPV vaccination. Objective To analyze trends in cervical cancer incidence over a 50‐year period in Saarland, Germany, with a focus on cohort effects and the impact of screening programs.
