SOX30 Governs Synaptonemal Complex Assembly and Homologous Recombination in Male Meiosis

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
The transcription factor SOX30 directly binds promoter regions of SYCE1 and SYCE2 to mediate their transcriptional activation, thereby enabling proper assembly of central elements within the synaptonemal complex. Structural destabilisation of the synaptonemal complex in Sox30 KK spermatocytes triggers synaptic discontinuity, impairs homologous ...

Postprandial Glucagon Action in the Human Brain

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Elevated fasting glucagon is linked to hyperglycemia, but postprandial glucagon effects are less understood. Recent evidence suggests metabolic benefits of rising glucagon after oral glucose intake, potentially impacting brain‐mediated whole‐body metabolism.

Effect of cow's milk protein allergy during infancy on eating behavior at 4 years of age: A cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 1119-1128, April 2026.
Abstract Objectives This study aimed to investigate the eating behaviors of preschool children who had been exposed to a restricted diet due to an oral food challenge‐confirmed diagnosis of cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) during early infancy. Methods This prospective cohort study compared the eating behaviors of Brazilian children previously ...

A Review on Cracking in Laser Additive Manufacturing of Nickel‐Based Superalloys: Types, Formation Mechanisms, and Suppression Strategies

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Nickel‐based superalloys (Ni‐based superalloys) have attracted extensive attention in laser additive manufacturing (LAM) due to their capability to directly fabricate complex and high‐performance structural components. However, the rapid melting and solidification inherent to LAM result in intense thermal cycling, which induces high residual ...

Symbiosis‐associated UMAMIT transporters required for establishing efficient nitrogen fixation in Medicago truncatula

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 1, Page 530-546, April 2026.
Summary To address a critical gap in understanding amino acid transport in legume–Rhizobium symbiosis, we investigated the role of symbiosis‐associated USUALLY MULTIPLE ACIDS MOVE IN AND OUT TRANSPORTERS (UMAMITs) in Medicago truncatula nodulation.

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Navigating the Ethereal Tightrope: The Nanogenerator Manipulates Neurons for Immune Equilibrium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
This review explores how nanogenerators modulate neuroimmune responses, offering innovative strategies for treating neurological disorders. By interfacing with neural pathways, they enable precise control of immune activity, especially via vagus nerve stimulation.

Conversion of Transplanted Mature Hepatocytes into Afp+ Reprogrammed Cells for Liver Regeneration After Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 18, 27 March 2026.
Donor‐derived tdTomato+ mature hepatocytes were FACS‐isolated and transplanted into Fah−/− host mice. During regeneration, these cells convert into proliferative, unipotent Afp+ rHeps. Their plasticity is governed by a PPARγ/AFP‐dependent metabolic switch, segregating into pro‐proliferative Afplow and pro‐survival Afphigh subpopulations.

MARPLE: A Proximity‐Triggered CRISPR‐Cas13 Platform for Ultrasensitive Antibody Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
MARPLE is a modular CRISPR‐Cas13 immunoassay that uses antibody‐induced proximity to trigger a toehold‐exchange reaction, releasing an RNA activator for Cas13. This one‐pot, isothermal architecture enables ultrasensitive (femtomolar) and highly specific detection of diverse antibodies, including therapeutic, pathogen‐specific, and cancer‐associated ...
