miR-345 inhibits tumor metastasis and EMT by targeting IRF1-mediated mTOR/STAT3/AKT pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma.

open access: yesInternational Journal of Oncology, 2017
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to play critical roles in tumor progression including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Thus, the underlying mechanisms need further investigation.

Trans‐3,5,4´‐trimethoxystilbene reduced gefitinib resistance in NSCLCs via suppressing MAPK/Akt/Bcl‐2 pathway by upregulation of miR‐345 and miR‐498

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 2019
Despite initial dramatic efficacy of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR‐TKIs) in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer patients, subsequent emergence of acquired resistance is almost inevitable.

Protective effect of green perilla-derived chalcone derivative DDC on amyloid β protein-induced neurotoxicity in primary cortical neurons.

open access: yesBiological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2019
Amyloid β protein (Aβ) causes neurotoxicity and cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Oxidative stress is closely related to the pathogenesis of AD.

Ferroptosis in Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 9, September 2025.
Ferroptosis, a form of cell death driven by iron and lipid peroxidation, serves as a bridge between cancer and inflammatory diseases. Microenvironmental factors such as oxidative stress collectively regulate this process. In cancer, ferroptosis exhibits dual roles: while it eliminates drug‐resistant cells, it may also promote tumor metastasis.

Pivotal roles of Kupffer cells in the progression and regression of DDC-induced chronic cholangiopathy

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Kupffer cells (KCs) are key players in maintaining tissue homeostasis and are involved in various liver diseases. However, the roles of KCs in the pathogenesis of cholangiopathy are largely unknown.

Dual Role of Natural Killer Cells in Early Pregnancy: Immunopathological Implications and Therapeutic Potential in Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion and Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 9, September 2025.
This article elaborates on the role of NK cells in early pregnancy from multiple perspectives, including molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions. It also discusses how NK cell dysfunction contributes to RSA and RIF, aiming to provide insights for future research on NK cell mechanisms and clinical treatment of RSA and RIF.

Exposing the crumbling justification for absolute prosecutorial discretion in youth filing decisions

open access: yesFamily Court Review, Volume 63, Issue 3, Page 401-414, July 2025.
Abstract Can absolute prosecutorial discretion in youth charging decisions—like that allowed under Title 16 in the District of Columbia—continue to withstand legal, scientific, and policy‐based scrutiny? The recently‐approved Restatement of Children and the Law adds to the weight of authorities casting further doubt on the wisdom of such discretion ...

MicroRNA-345 inhibits metastasis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of gastric cancer by targeting FOXQ1

open access: yesOncology Report, 2017
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a group of critical players in gastric cancer (GC). Among numerous cancer-related miRNAs, the expression level and functional role of miR-345 in GC has not been investigated.
