Coordination of a Phosphine‐Tethered Aminoborane to Group 10 Metals

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 32, June 6, 2024.
The synthesis and coordination chemistry of a diphosphine‐aminoborane ligand to group 10 metals is reported, affording a rare aminoborane π‐complex of Ni(0). The bonding situation is best described as a 3‐center‐4‐electron bond where the Ni and N atoms compete for an accepting orbital on boron.

Circulating serum microRNA-345 correlates with unfavorable pathological response to preoperative chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer

open access: yesOncoTarget, 2016
Preoperative chemoradiotherapy (pre-CRT) has been represented as the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC), but large variations of tumor radiation response to CRT have been reported in the clinic.

Multiple genetic variants at the SLC30A8 locus affect local super‐enhancer activity and influence pancreatic β‐cell survival and function

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 38, Issue 8, 30 April 2024.
GWAS‐identified SLC30A8 locus contains an islet super‐enhancer cluster. This super‐enhancer cluster regulates the expression of not only the SLC30A8 gene but also multiple other genes (UTP23, RAD21, MED30, and EXT1) which are involved in fundamental cellular machineries.

Opioid analgesia and severity of acute pancreatitis: An international multicentre cohort study on pain management in acute pancreatitis

open access: yesUnited European Gastroenterology Journal, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 326-338, April 2024.
Abstract Background The effect of analgesic modalities on short‐term outcomes in acute pancreatitis remains unknown. However, preclinical models have raised safety concerns regarding opioid use in patients with acute pancreatitis. Objective This study aimed to assess the association between analgesics, particularly opioids, and severity and mortality ...

Unwinding NFTs in the shadow of IP law

open access: yesAmerican Business Law Journal, Volume 61, Issue 1, Page 31-55, Spring 2024.
Abstract Amid the surge of intellectual property (IP) disputes surrounding non‐fungible tokens (NFTs), some scholars have advocated for the application of personal property or sales law to regulate NFT minting and transactions, contending that IP laws unduly hinder the development of the NFT market. This Article counters these proposals and argues that

Long noncoding RNA uc.345 promotes tumorigenesis of pancreatic cancer by upregulation of hnRNPL expression

open access: yesOncoTarget, 2016
Increasing evidence points to an important functional or regulatory role of long noncoding RNA in cellular processes as well as cancer diseases resulted from the aberrant lncRNA expression. LncRNA could participate in the cancer progression and develop a
