From medical strategy to foodborne prophylactic strategy: Stabilizing dental collagen with aloin. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr
In this study, a foodborne prophylactic strategy with 1.0 mg/mL aloin was developed with the capacity to interact with dental collagen via hydrogen bonds to enhance dental collagen stability. This strategy can increase the proportion of α‐helix of dental collagen.

Total Synthesis of 1”‐ and 2”‐Hydroxycannabidiol Metabolites

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 8, Issue 45, December 5, 2023., 2023
A new multistep protocol, comprising four steps, was implemented to prepare 1”‐hydroxycannabidiol and 2”‐hydroxycannabidiol, two of the most important and investigated hydroxylated cannabidiol metabolites. The reactions are easily feasible, and metabolites were isolated, in 24 % and 28 % of overall yield respectively, as mixtures of epimers.

Chemically Induced Evolution of Morphological and Connectivity Characteristics of Pore Space of Complex Carbonate Rock via Digital Core Analysis

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 58, Issue 3, March 2022., 2022
Abstract We study the impact of reactive flow on a complex carbonate rock whose pore space was resolved by X‐ray μ‐CT. A small core plug was imaged in the original and chemically altered states. The morphology of the resolved pore space was quantified using various approaches, such as sample‐spanning cluster analysis, capillary drainage transform (CDT),

Reconstruction of Three‐Dimensional Porous Media Using Deep Transfer Learning

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
The reconstruction of porous media is widely used in the study of fluid flows and engineering sciences. Some traditional reconstruction methods for porous media use the features extracted from real natural porous media and copy them to realize reconstructions.
