Dual‐Site Ru Single‐Atoms and RuP Nanoclusters on N, P, and B Co‐Doped Porous Carbon for Efficient Alkaline HER and AEM Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 36, 4 May 2026.
Ru single atoms and RuP nanoclusters are co‐anchored in N, P, and B co‐doped porous carbon nanospheres via in situ carbonization/phosphidation of a boronate polymer precursor. RuP activates water, while nearby Ru single atoms accelerate H2 formation through H* transfer. The catalyst delivers low overpotential and high durability in alkaline HER and AEM

Essential Role of Icosahedral Symmetry in the 3D Shape of AuAg Plasmonic Nanostars With High Aspect‐Ratio Legs

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 27, 14 May 2026.
Electron nanodiffraction mapping was used to determine that the 3D leg configuration of branched plasmonic AuAg nanostars is associated with the icosahedral symmetry of the star core, providing a deeper understanding of their growth mechanism and thus paving the way to the development of optimized synthesis protocols targeting optical enhancement ...

A Review on Cracking in Laser Additive Manufacturing of Nickel‐Based Superalloys: Types, Formation Mechanisms, and Suppression Strategies

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Nickel‐based superalloys (Ni‐based superalloys) have attracted extensive attention in laser additive manufacturing (LAM) due to their capability to directly fabricate complex and high‐performance structural components. However, the rapid melting and solidification inherent to LAM result in intense thermal cycling, which induces high residual ...

Isolation, RP‐UHPLC‐ESI‐LIT‐Orbitrap‐MS/MS‐Based Metabolic Profiling and Anticandidal Activity of the Root and Leaf Secondary Metabolites of Monotes Kerstingii Gilg (Dipterocarpaceae)

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 3, March 2026.
This paper describes the isolation and antifungal activity of secondary metabolites from the leaves and roots of Monotes kerstingii. The distribution of these metabolites in the roots and leaves was achieved through comprehensive RP‐UHPLC‐Orbitrap‐MS and MS/MS analysis.

Towards a Sustainable Future: Addressing Climate Change and Promoting Sustainable Development

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 34, Issue S1, Page 226-247, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze policy research and global agreements on the decarbonization of economic development. Climate change and economic development are separate and equal, and strategies should separate responsibility from action. This will be required beyond the Kyoto and Paris agreements.

Effect of High‐Pressure Processing Operating Parameters on Microbial Inactivation and Bioactive Protein Preservation in Bovine Milk: A Systematic Review

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT In the U.S., bovine milk is processed using thermal pasteurization to ensure microbial safety. However, this process alters the structure of heat‐sensitive bioactive proteins associated with the functional benefits of raw milk, including antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, and antioxidant proteins.

Metformin and insulin exacerbate one‐carbon metabolism deficits in pregnant growth restricted rats and impacts the placenta, fetal liver and pancreas

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 603, Issue 19, Page 5751-5775, October 1, 2025.
Abstract figure legend Uteroplacental insufficiency (growth restricted) or sham (Control) surgery was performed on embryonic day (E)18 in Wistar–Kyoto rats. Female F1 offspring were mated and restricted dams received daily metformin, insulin or vehicle from E13.

Ferroptosis in Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 9, September 2025.
Ferroptosis, a form of cell death driven by iron and lipid peroxidation, serves as a bridge between cancer and inflammatory diseases. Microenvironmental factors such as oxidative stress collectively regulate this process. In cancer, ferroptosis exhibits dual roles: while it eliminates drug‐resistant cells, it may also promote tumor metastasis.
