Guidelines for mouse and human DC functional assays

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 53, Issue 12, December 2023., 2023
Conventional DC (cDC) represent a heterogenous family of professional antigen‐presenting cells. Basic functions common to all tissue‐resident cDC include antigen uptake, lymph node migration, and naive T cell priming to induce appropriate effector and regulatory T cell responses.

Guidelines for preparation and flow cytometry analysis of human nonlymphoid tissue DC. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Immunol
We here provide detailed protocols for isolating single cell suspension from human nonlymphoid tissues, such as gingiva, lung, intestine, skin, and different tumor tissues as well as tumor‐draining lymph nodes. Further, we provide gating strategies for flow cytometric analysis of human DC subpopulations in diverse nonlymphoid tissues.

Incidence of cardiometabolic outcomes among people living with HIV‐1 initiated on integrase strand transfer inhibitor versus non‐integrase strand transfer inhibitor antiretroviral therapies: a retrospective analysis of insurance claims in the United States

open access: yesJournal of the International AIDS Society, Volume 26, Issue 6, June 2023., 2023
Abstract Introduction Integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI)‐containing antiretroviral therapy (ART) has been associated with weight gain, though there is limited information on associations between ART‐related weight gain and cardiometabolic outcomes among people living with HIV‐1 (PLWH). We, therefore, evaluated risks of incident cardiometabolic

Dual Roles of Autophagy in Radiation‐Induced Brain Injury: Mechanistic Insights and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 6, June 2025.
Under varying conditions, autophagy plays a dualistic role in radiation‐induced brain injury (RIBI), interacting intricately with apoptosis, ferroptosis, neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption, mitophagy, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and mitochondrial biogenesis.
