Lymph node metastasis in lung squamous cell carcinoma and identification of metastasis-related genes based on the Cancer Genome Atlas. [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Med, 2019
Lymph node metastasis plays a key role in the treatment response and prognosis of SCC patients. Several risk factors including age and stage were identified for lymph node metastasis. There is an unprecedented enrichment of significant novel genes in lung SCC between LM and NLM groups, which may have potential for predicting prognosis and targeting ...

Hyponatraemia and changes in natraemia during hospitalization for acute heart failure and associations with in‐hospital and long‐term outcomes – from the ESC‐HFA EORP Heart Failure Long‐Term Registry

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, Volume 25, Issue 9, Page 1571-1583, September 2023., 2023
In patients with acute heart failure, 20% had hyponatreamia at hospital admission, which was associated with more advanced heart failure and normalized in half of patients during hospitalization. Admission hyponatreamia (possibly dilutional), especially persisting during hospitalization, was associated with worse in‐hospital and post‐dicharge prognosis.

Properties and Applications of Copper(I) Thiocyanate Hole‐Transport Interlayers Processed from Different Solvents

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2022., 2022
The solvent effects on a solution‐processable hole injection/transport material, copper(I) thiocyanate (CuSCN), are investigated. Six solvent candidates are examined for their impacts on the resulting CuSCN thin‐film topography, roughness, polymorphism, composition, surface energy, and ionization potential.

From Topic Networks to Distributed Cognitive Maps: Zipfian Topic Universes in the Area of Volunteered Geographic Information

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
Are nearby places (e.g., cities) described by related words? In this article, we transfer this research question in the field of lexical encoding of geographic information onto the level of intertextuality. To this end, we explore Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) to model texts addressing places at the level of cities or regions with the help ...
