Palatal donor site wound healing following mucogingival surgery using amnion‐chorion membrane: A randomized controlled clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Free soft tissue autografts (FSTA) harvested from a patient's palate are frequently associated with significant postoperative morbidity. Several wound dressings have been applied to the palatal donor site with the aim of reducing postoperative complications and improving wound healing.

Developmental exposure to DDT or DDE alters sympathetic innervation of brown adipose in adult female mice

open access: yesEnvironmental Health, 2021
Background Exposure to the bioaccumulative pesticide dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) and its metabolite dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE) has been associated with increased risk of insulin resistance and obesity in humans and experimental ...

Associations Between Cumulative Head Trauma and Self‐Reported Parkinsonism and Parkinson's Disease in Former Soccer Players

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Cumulative head trauma, encompassing repetitive head impacts (RHI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), has been associated with later‐life neurodegenerative disease. Studies on parkinsonism/Parkinson's disease (PD) have evaluated RHI and TBI in isolation, yielding mixed results.

On the analyzing of bifurcation properties of the one‐dimensional Mackey–Glass model by using a generalized approach

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
The goal of this work is to look at how a nonlinear model describes hematopoiesis and its complexities utilizing commonly used techniques with historical and material links. Based on time delay, the Mackey–Glass model is explored in two instances. To offer a range, the relevance of the parameter impacting stability (bifurcation) is recorded.

Paternal p,p′-DDE exposure and pre-pubertal high-fat diet increases the susceptibility to fertility impairment and sperm Igf2 DMR2 hypo-methylation in male offspring

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
The hypothesis of paternal origins of health and disease (POHaD) indicates that paternal exposure to adverse environment could alter the epigenetic modification in germ line, increasing the disease susceptibility in offspring or even in subsequent ...

Oxidative stress and mitochondrial uncoupling protein 2 expression in hepatic steatosis induced by exposure to xenobiotic DDE and high fat diet in male Wistar rats.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Oxidative stress plays a key role in steatohepatitis induced by both xenobiotic agents and high fat diet (HFD). The present study aimed to evaluate hepatic oxidative stress and anti-oxidant systems response in rats exposed to HFD and/or non-toxic dose of
