The hypothesis of paternal origins of health and disease (POHaD) indicates that paternal exposure to adverse environment could alter the epigenetic modification in germ line, increasing the disease susceptibility in offspring or even in subsequent ...

Time-Changed Poisson Processes
We consider time-changed Poisson processes, and derive the governing difference-differential equations (DDE) these processes. In particular, we consider the time-changed Poisson processes where the the time-change is inverse Gaussian, or its hitting time

Methods Based on Polynomial Chaos for Quadratic Delay Differential Equations With Random Parameters
ABSTRACT We consider systems of delay differential equations (DDEs), including a single delay and a quadratic right‐hand side. In a system, parameters are replaced by random variables to perform an uncertainty quantification. Thus the solution of the DDEs becomes a random process, which can be represented by a series of the generalised polynomial chaos.

Wintering Area DDE Source to Migratory White-Faced Ibis Revealed by Satellite Telemetry and Prey Sampling [PDF]
Locations of contaminant exposure for nesting migratory species are difficult to fully understand because of possible additional sources encountered during migration or on the wintering grounds.

Abstract In the present study, 43 Italian school‐age children (age range = 7–14 years, 16 females) with (N = 19) and without DD (N = 24) were presented with pairs of visual displays separated by varying interstimulus intervals and performed either a temporal integration or segregation task despite an identical visual input.

Genetic Encoding of a Trifunctional Photo‐Cross‐Linker with a Cleavable Alkyl Ester Moiety
A novel noncanonical amino acid, DiZAAsu, possessing photo‐cross‐linking, biotinylation, and alkaline‐cleavable functionalities, is genetically encoded by an engineered pyrrolyl‐tRNA synthetase mutant. The alkyl ester moiety expands the design space of cleavable photo‐cross‐linkable amino acids.

A Recipe for State Dependent Distributed Delay Differential Equations
We use the McKendrick equation with variable ageing rate and randomly distributed maturation time to derive a state dependent distributed delay differential equation.

Catalysts with the isolated Co2+ species in the 6MR (Co2+─Z2) and 8MR ([Co(OH)]+─Z) windows of the SSZ‐13 zeolite were synthesized for non‐oxidative ethane dehydrogenation to ethene. The Co2+─Z2 species demonstrate an unexpectedly high rate of ethene formation in comparison with the ([Co(OH)]+─Z species.
