MRI assessment of DDH after reduction

open access: yesCumhuriyet Medical Journal, 2017
Background: In this study, the effectiveness of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) after reduction was examined. Methods: Forty-two hips of 31 patients treated between 2003 and 2012 were examined prospectively. The femur head and acetabulum interaction were examined by MRI performed postreduction.

Regression of focal acetabular rim ossifications after periacetabular osteotomy

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 13, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Purpose Focal labral ossification is a recognized radiographic finding in developmental dysplasia (DDH) and is typically regarded as a chronic lesion resulting from excessive stress on the chondro‐labral junction. The necessity for direct surgical intervention at the time of periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) for these ossifications remains a ...

Different subchondral trabecular bone microstructure and biomechanical properties between developmental dysplasia of the hip and primary osteoarthritis

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Translation, 2020
Objective: Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is recognized as a frequent cause of secondary osteoarthritis (OA). The purpose in this study was to compare structural and biomechanical properties of subchondral trabecular bone and its relationship ...

Deformations of the Canonical Commutation Relations and Metric Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Using Connes distance formula in noncommutative geometry, it is possible to retrieve the Euclidean distance from the canonical commutation relations of quantum mechanics.

Testing Hypotheses of Covariate Effects on Topics of Discourse

open access: yesStatistical Analysis and Data Mining: An ASA Data Science Journal, Volume 19, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT We introduce an approach to topic modeling with document‐level covariates that remains tractable in the face of large text corpora. This is achieved by de‐emphasizing the role of parameter estimation in an underlying probabilistic model, assuming instead that the data come from a fixed but unknown distribution whose statistical functionals are

A novel multi-fold security framework for cognitive radio wireless ad-hoc networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Cognitive Radio (CR) Technology has emerged as a smart and intelligent technology to address the problem of spectrum scarcity and its under-utilization. CR nodes sense the environment for vacant channels, exchange control information, and agree upon free

Parity violation in nuclear systems

open access: yes, 2004
Parity violation in nuclear systems is reviewed. A few ingredients relevant to the description of the parity-violating nucleon-nucleon force in terms of meson exchanges are reminded. Effects in nuclear systems are then considered.

ExTaSem! Extending, Taxonomizing and Semantifying Domain Terminologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We introduce EXTASEM!, a novel approach for the automatic learning of lexical taxonomies from domain terminologies. First, we exploit a very large semantic network to collect thousands of in-domain textual definitions.

Accuracy and practicability of a patient-specific guide using acetabular superolateral rim during THA in Crowe II/III DDH patients: a retrospective study

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, 2019
BackgroundIt is challenging to create an ideal artificial acetabulum during total hip arthroplasty (THA) in adult DDH. Our team developed a new patient-specific instrument (PSI) that uses the superolateral rim of the acetabulum as a positioning mark to ...

Der Nicht‐Adiabatische Charakter von Substituenteneffekten in Azobenzol

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 14, 27 March 2026.
