Thermal equilibrium in de Sitter space [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1989
Thermal-equilibrium quantum states are constructed for free scalar fields in (%+1)-dimensional de Sitter space. The states are described by density matrices of "thermal" form, satisfying the von Neumann equation associated with the appropriate functional Schrodinger equation.

An outsider’s perspective on information recovery in de Sitter space

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Entanglement islands play a crucial role in our understanding of how Hawking radiation encodes information in a black hole, but their relevance in cosmological spacetimes is less clear. In this paper, we continue our investigation of information recovery

Gravitons in de sitter space [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
What has been shown in this talk is that the graviton propagator in de Sitter space is OK. If one makes a bad choice of gauge (-fixing term) then the propagator is infra-red divergent. However this is not a problem. You can either make a better choice of gauge (of which there are an infinite number), for which the propagator is completely, finite, or ...

Effects of Cancer Treatment on Somatosensory and Nociceptive Processing in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chemotherapy‐induced peripheral neuropathy remains a major complication in pediatric cancer, with disrupted somatosensory and nociceptive processing being a key aspect. This review synthesizes empirical studies on alterations in somatosensory and nociceptive processing in children and adolescents with cancer.

Towards causal patch physics in dS/CFT

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
This contribution is a status report on a research program aimed at obtaining quantum-gravitational physics inside a cosmological horizon through dS/CFT, i.e. through a holographic description at past/future infinity of de Sitter space.

Geometric phase for timelike spherical normal magnetic charged particles optical ferromagnetic model

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2020
We introduce the theory of optical spherical Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin of timelike spherical normal magnetic flows of particles by the spherical frame in de Sitter space.

Asymptotic freedom for $$\lambda \phi ^4_{\star }$$ λϕ⋆4 QFT in Snyder–de Sitter space

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We analyze the model of a self-interacting $$\phi ^4_{\star }$$ ϕ⋆4 scalar field theory in Snyder–de Sitter space. After analytically computing the one-loop beta functions in the small noncommutativity and curvature limit, we solve numerically the ...

Cognitive Functioning in Vorinostat‐Treated Pediatric and Young Adult Patients Over the First 180 Days After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Cognitive and psychological difficulties could negatively interfere with treatment adherence and quality of life before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Methods to mitigate these changes may have positive effects on treatment success.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Four-dimensional de Sitter space is a Glauber-Sudarshan state in string theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We show that four-dimensional de Sitter space is a Glauber-Sudarshan state, i.e. a coherent state, over a supersymmetric solitonic background in full string theory. We argue that such a state is only realized in the presence of temporally varying degrees
