Photon rockets in the (anti-)de Sitter universe [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2008
A class of exact solutions of Einstein's equations is presented which describes accelerating photon rockets in de Sitter and anti-de Sitter universe. These are particular members of the Robinson-Trautman family of axially symmetric spacetimes with pure radiation.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

FROM DE SITTER TO DE SITTER: A NON-SINGULAR INFLATIONARY UNIVERSE DRIVEN BY VACUUM [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2006
A semi-classical analysis of vacuum energy in the expanding space–time suggests that the cosmological term decays with time, with a concomitant matter production. For early times we find, in Planck units, Λ ≈ H4, where H is the Hubble parameter. The corresponding cosmological solution has no initial singularity, existing since an infinite past.

Efficacy and Tolerability of Topotecan/Cyclophosphamide/Dinutuximab in Relapsed and Refractory High‐Risk Neuroblastoma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan, temozolomide, and dinutuximab (I/T/DIN) has emerged as first‐line therapy for relapsed/refractory (r/r) high‐risk neuroblastoma (HRNB) in North America. Topotecan and cyclophosphamide (T/C) are often used in combination with dinutuximab in the setting of lack of response, progression, or incomplete ...

The Efficacy and Safety of Bevacizumab/Irinotecan/Temozolomide (BIT) for Relapsed/Refractory Neuroblastoma: The UK Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group Experience

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with high‐risk neuroblastoma who either are refractory to induction chemotherapy or relapse following multi‐modal treatment have a dismal prognosis. Based on data from the BEACON trial, since 2021 the UK national guidelines recommend bevacizumab, irinotecan, and temozolomide (BIT) for patients with relapsed/refractory ...

Graviatoms with de Sitter Interior

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2013
We present a graviatom with de Sitter interior as a new candidate to atomic dark matter generically related to a vacuum dark energy through its de Sitter vacuum interior. It is a gravitationally bound quantum system consisting of a nucleus represented by

Lyapunov function for cosmological dynamical system

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2017
We prove the asymptotic global stability of the de Sitter solution in the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker conservative and dissipative cosmology. In the proof we construct a Lyapunov function in an exact form and establish its relationship with the first ...

Why Does Inflation Start at the Top of the Hill?

open access: yes, 2002
We show why the universe started in an unstable de Sitter state. The quantum origin of our universe implies one must take a `top down' approach to the problem of initial conditions in cosmology, in which the histories that contribute to the path integral,
