A Hybrid Predictive Control for a Current Source Converter in an Aircraft DC Microgrid
A current source converter (CSC) is a promising topology for interfacing aircraft generators with the onboard DC microgrid. In this paper, a hybrid predictive control is proposed for the CSC with an output LC filter in such application.

A human microfluidic blood‐brain barrier (mBBB) model enables spatially resolved comparison of nanoparticle trafficking. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), liposomes, and nanoplastics exhibit distinct transport and disruption behaviors, revealing that membrane composition and uptake pathways govern BBB interaction.

This study explores how machine learning models, trained on small experimental datasets obtained via Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), can accurately predict droplet size (D32) in ultrasonic spray coating (USSC). By capturing the influence of ink complexity (solvent, polymer, nanoparticles), power, and flow rate, the model enables precise droplet control

A review on robust predictive control of permanent magnet synchronous motor drives: Strategies and future trends [PDF]
Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) are widely used in electric vehicles and industrial drives due to their high power density and efficiency. However, the performance of traditional predictive control strategies—such as sliding mode control and ...

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

This study presents a machine‐learning framework entitled MERLIN that infers the microanatomical localization of macrophages from single‐cell transcriptomic data in structured organs such as the kidney and brain. Applying this method to existing datasets from models of acute kidney injury and diabetic nephropathy uncovered spatially resolved insights ...

Using iPSC‐derived motoneurons and postmortem tissue from FUS‐ALS patients, it is demonstrated that increased mitochondrial transcription leads to elevated cytosolic double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA) levels. This aberrant accumulation activates a RIG‐I–dependent innate immune response leading to neurodegeneration, which is amenable for FDA‐ and EMA‐approved ...
