Study on influence of switching frequency on sliding mode control performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 15, Issue 16, Page 1858-1867, 16 December 2022., 2022
Abstract Aiming at the deficiencies of the speed loop PI control algorithm of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in variable working conditions, a new fast reaching law sliding mode control algorithm based on double‐power is proposed. Firstly, a new sliding mode reaching law is proposed, and the reaching law includes system state variables and ...

Brain functional network integrity sustains cognitive function despite atrophy in presymptomatic genetic frontotemporal dementia

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 17, Issue 3, Page 500-514, March 2021., 2021
Abstract Introduction The presymptomatic phase of neurodegenerative disease can last many years, with sustained cognitive function despite progressive atrophy. We investigate this phenomenon in familial frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Methods We studied 121 presymptomatic FTD mutation carriers and 134 family members without mutations, using multivariate

High‐density intracranial recordings reveal a distinct site in anterior dorsal precentral cortex that tracks perceived speech

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 41, Issue 16, Page 4587-4609, November 2020., 2020
Berezutskaya et al. show that a distinct region within anterior dorsal precentral cortex tracks multiple auditory properties of perceived continuous speech. The region is distinct from the adjacent hand and mouth motor areas and has a unique role in speech processing.

Evaluation of Theta EEG Neurofeedback Procedure for Cognitive Training Using Simultaneous fMRI in Counterbalanced Active‐Sham Study Design

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 46, Issue 1, January 2025.
EEG neurofeedback procedure for upregulation of frontal theta EEG asymmetry during cognitive tasks is evaluated using simultaneous fMRI and controlled via the counterbalanced active‐sham study design. EEG, fMRI, and EEG‐fMRI results in healthy participants suggest that the procedure can be effective for cognitive training to enhance executive function.
