Latest Trends in Deburring Technology
This paper details the standardization of edge quality in Japan, its meaning to design, burr formation mechanisms and their control, and deburring methods to provide burring technology basics and trends. Deburring is essential to designing functional edges, and the principles of machining, such as edge shape, require that burr formation be minimized ...

The Impact of a Buyer's Incentives and Organizational Structure on Suppliers' Quality
ABSTRACT Changes in a buyer organization's incentives and structure can have a significant impact on supply chain performance, such as the quality of sourced components. We examine this relationship using data from a unique quasi‐experiment where one of the two plants of a buyer introduced long‐term quality improvement incentives and a more organic ...

Additive manufacturing enables complex structures, but polymer printing often suffers from poor interlayer fusion and defects induced by heat or binders. A two‐step, room‐temperature strategy based on immersion phase separation (IPS‐E3DP) achieves precise liquid‐state fusion with high structural fidelity, enhanced mechanical performance, broad material

Viscosity, Density, Surface Tension, and Crystallization Behavior of Commercial Mold Fluxes
This study explores the properties and behaviors of two mold fluxes used in steel casting. Key findings show that viscosity and density change nonlinearly with temperature. Increased basicity lowers viscosity and raises break temperature, while phase formation time shortens. Time–temperature transformation and continuous cooling transformation diagrams

Parallel Concatenated Feature Pyramid Network for Dehazing a Single Image on Smartphone Images
(1) A parallel concatenated FP architecture is designed to retrieve hazy features under different environments in deeper layers. (2) A concatenation structure can keep the hazy information for estimating depth information and then converting it to a transmission map. (3) The transmission map is an input of a convolutional neural network with a dehazing

The focus of this study, using results obtained with hollow specimens of the alloy Al 2024 T3 (AlCuMg2 T3) with a one‐sided bore, was to determine if, under multiaxial loading, the fatigue strength can simply be assessed without the application of any multiaxial strength hypothesis. This is the case because, despite the multiaxial loading, in the notch
