A new genus and three new species of decapodiform cephalopods (Mollusca: Cephalopoda)

Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries, 2007
We describe here two new species of oegopsid squids. The first is an Asperoteuthis (Chiroteuthidae), and it is based on 18 specimens. This new species has sucker dentition and a funnel–mantle locking apparatus that are unique within the genus. The second new species is a Promachoteuthis (Promachoteuthidae), and is based on a unique specimen.

Brooding and sperm storage by the deep-sea squid Bathyteuthis berryi (Cephalopoda: Decapodiformes)

Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, 2012
Squids of the family Bathyteuthidae have generally been infrequently encountered in their deep-sea habitat. Remotely operated vehicles were used to observe seven individuals in situ in the Monterey Submarine Canyon, CA, USA. One of these was a female Bathyteuthis berryi holding a sheet with approximately 360 embedded embryos. Examination of this female

The correct taxon name, authorship, and publication date of extant ten-armed coleoids [PDF]

open access: yesIssn 1946-0279, 2015
A variety of conflicting names with different authorship is available and has been repeatedly cited for living ten-armed coleoid cephalopods.

A phylogenetic approach to understand the evolution of reproduction in coleoid cephalopods.

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2020
A central question in the evolution of life-histories is whether organisms reproduce once or repeatedly. For cephalopods, the main differences between semelparous and iteroparous are based on ovulation pattern and spawning type.

Application of chitosan as a novel antimicrobial dental material -Effects of form, molecular weight, and deacetylation degree on its antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans.

Dental materials journal
Oral candidiasis is a significant health concern, especially for elderly individuals. The present study examined chitosan as a potential antimicrobial dental material for Candida albicans treatment.

Guide for the identification of cephalopod beaks from the Mediterranean Sea

Bollettino Malacologico
The presence of undigested remains, particularly chitinous beaks, in the stomachs of teuthophagous organisms provides crucial insight into cephalopod consumption.

Host Switching in Dicyemids (Phylum Dicyemida)

Journal of Parasitology
Dicyemids (phylum Dicyemida) are the most common and most characteristic endosymbionts in the renal sacs of benthic cephalopod molluscs: octopuses and cuttlefishes.
