Measurement of Decay Parameters for $Ξ^{-} \to Λπ^{-}$ Decay

2003
Based on 1.35 million polarized $Ξ^{-}$ events, we measure the parameter $ϕ_Ξ$ to be $-1.61^{\circ} \pm 2.66^{\circ} \pm 0.37^{\circ}$ for $Ξ^{-} \to Λπ^{-}$ decay. New results for the parameters $β_Ξ$ and $γ_Ξ$ are also presented. Assuming that the CP-violating phase-shift difference is negligible, we deduce the strong phase-shift difference between ...

Decay parameters of Ω−

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1964
As is well known, the tenfohl representat ion of the S U 3 group fGr baryon isobars predicts the existence of an isosinglet, called gl-, wi th strangeness 3 and mass 1685 (i4). I ts spin and par i ty are supposed to be ~+. Because of its mass and strangeness, i t is a stable isobar which can decay only by s t rangeness-changing weak interact ions (5 ...

Measurable parameters of neutron decay

Nuclear Physics A, 1995
Abstract The effect of the general vector, axialvector, scalar and tensor interactions on the theoretical description of neutron decay is investigated. Results of least squares adjustment computations for the weak coupling constants are presented (neutron decay and several nuclear beta decay observables have been employed).

Parameter estimation of a decaying exponential in noise

2009 16th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing, 2009
The estimation of the parameters of a decaying complex exponential in noise was examined by Bertocco et al. who developed a frequency domain interpolator using two DFT coefficients around the maximum bin. Quinn, on the other hand, and more recently Aboutanios and Mulgrew (A&M), proposed similar frequency estimators for the undamped case. In this paper,

Measurement of decay parameters for Xi- --> Lambda pi- decay.

Physical review letters, 2003
Based on 1.35 x 10(6) polarized Xi(-) events, we measure the parameter phi(Xi) to be -1.61 degrees +/-2.66 degrees +/-0.37 degrees for the Xi(-)-->Lambda pi(-) decay. New results for the parameters beta(Xi) and gamma(Xi) are also presented. Assuming that the CP-violating phase difference is negligible, we deduce the strong phase difference between the ...

Determination of the Muon Decay Parameters

1985
The investigation of the purely leptonic decay μ+e+υeūμ of the muon is of fundamental interest since it allows to put constraints on theories of weak interactions. To improve our present-day knowledge about charged weak interactions it is necessary both to measure the decay parameters with high precision and to make full use of the mutual ...

Measurement of the Kμ3+ decay parameters

1971
A sample of K+ mesons stopped in the CERN 1.1-m3 heavy-liquid bubble chamber has been used to study the Dalitz-plot density and the μ+ polarization in Kμ3+ decay and to measure the Kμ3+ and Ke3+ branching ratios. All three analyses are described in detail, and they are used, separately and combined, to study the form of the strangeness-changing ...
