Ozone Decay Rates in Residences

Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association, 1999
In urban and suburban settings, indoor ozone exposures can represent a significant fraction of an individual's total exposure. The decay rate, one of the factors determining indoor ozone concentrations, is inadequately understood in residences. Decay rates were calculated by introducing outdoor air containing 80-160 parts per billion ozone into 43 ...

The decay rate of3HΛ

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1979
The decay rates and the two-body decay mode branching ratio of the hypernucleus3HΛ are calculated by using theV-A model of weak interactions. It is concluded that the stimulated decay (ΛN →N Nπ) is a significant mechanism in this decay.

Water trimer decay rate

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1974
A molecular model is used to study the problem of time dependent bond breaking in a simple cluster system, the water trimer. The intermolecular vibrations of the cluster are broken down into normal modes. A cluster decay rate is calculated based on the rate at which the normal modes combine constructively to strain a bond to the breaking point.

Beta-decay rates

Nuclear Physics A, 2006
Abstract Major astrophysical applications involve a huge number of exotic nuclei. Their beta-decay properties play a crucial role in stellar explosive events. An important effort has been developed in last decades to measure the masses and β -decay properties of very neutron-rich nuclei at radioactive nuclear beam facilities.

Positronium Decay Rates

1989
In this paper we briefly review all positronium (Ps) decay rate measurements (including those of the excited states and the Ps negative ion) that have been completed to date. The results are compared with theoretical values. The Ps system represents the most rigorous confrontation with theoretical decay rate calculations for any QED system.

Decay Rate as t →∞

2020
We consider $$\displaystyle \begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{rl} & \partial_t^{\alpha} (u-a) + A(t)u(x,t) = 0 \quad \mbox{in }L^2(\Omega), \, 0 < t < T, \\ & u(\cdot,t) \in H^1_0(\Omega), \quad 0 < t < T, \\ & u-a \in H_{\alpha}(0,T;L^2(\Omega)). \end{array}\right.

Proton Decay Rate

Physical Review Letters, 1981
The pionic two-body decay amplitude of the proton in the SU(5) grand unified gauge theory is computed by using the soft-pion method in the reference frame of the pion at rest. The normalization condition of the relativistic three-body Bethe-Salpeter wave function of the proton is used in the computation.

Meson Decay Rates

Physical Review Letters, 1976
The new decay rates of mesons which have been published within the last year are examined to determine their consistency with SU(3) symmetry, vector dominance, and the quark model. It is shown that despite an apparent overall trend of the new data to disagree with certain quark-model predictions by a factor of 3 or so, the consistency of the data with ...

InclusiveB-meson decay rates

Physical Review D, 1988
We calculate inclusive B decay rates separated according to angular momentum and flavor quantum numbers. In addition to the usual short-distance corrections genuine long-distance effects arise once a separation into longitudinal and transverse components is carried out.

Dimensions Dictate Decay Rates

Science's STKE, 2000
Dendritic spines are highly mobile structures that are the location of most synaptic input in the central nervous system in mammals. Majewska, Tashiro, and Yuste found a strong correlation between the length of the spine neck and diffusion rates out of the spine, measured as recovery after photobleaching of enhanced green fluorescent protein. They also
