Interfacial Water Coordination on Ruthenium Oxide Nanoparticles Confined Within Covalent Organic Framework and Its Effect on Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction

We demonstrate how oxygen‐deficient ruthenium oxide (RuOx) nanoparticles confined within covalent organic framework achieve highly efficient nitrate‐to‐ammonia conversion. Strong interaction between RuOx nanoparticles and COF results in modified interfacial hydrogen‐bond water network and adsorption of nitrogenous intermediates.

Interacting Parallel Fluidic Hysterons

The parallel coupling of fluidic hysterons is introduced, establishing advanced functionalities in inflatable soft systems. A pressure–volume framework reveals how preset volumes Δv∗${\Delta }v^*$ tune nonlinear interactions between hysterons and actuation sequences without changing architecture. Asymmetric Single‐Atom Catalysts Govern Diffusible and Non‐Diffusible Non‐Radical Pathways for Selective Degradation of Antibiotic Resistance Genes

Asymmetric single‐atom metal‐nitrogen‐carbon catalysts modulate the non‐radical pathway during peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. A fundamental contrast was revealed between diffusible singlet oxygen (1O2) and non‐diffusible electron‐transfer pathways (ETP) in antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) degradation.

The Plant‐to‐Plant Circular Strategy: Coupling Photodegradation and Phytoremediation With Plant‐Based Nanomaterials for Plastic Degradation

Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.
