A Cryoprotectant‐Compatible Nanoporous Platform for Stable and Scalable Delivery of Biopharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A cryoprotectant‐compatible nanoporous platform enables ambient‐stable and scalable delivery of gene editing therapeutics. By combining hierarchical pore architecture with optimized lyophilization chemistry, the system preserves Cas9‐RNP activity post‐freeze‐drying.

Survey on Decentralized Auctioning Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
An electronic auction (e-auction) is an efficient negotiation model that allows multiple sellers or buyers to compete for assets or rights. Such systems have become increasingly popular with the evolution of the internet for commerce.

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Noncooperatively Optimized Tolerance: Decentralized Strategic Optimization in Complex Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We introduce noncooperatively optimized tolerance (NOT), a generalization of highly optimized tolerance (HOT) that involves strategic (game theoretic) interactions between parties in a complex system.

Digital Microneedles for Multiplexed Transdermal Sensing via Fluorescent QR Codes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Digital fluorescent microneedles encode biochemical information in skin into scannable QR codes through threshold‐activated probes that generate binary on/off signals. By transforming analog fluorescence into discrete digital patterns, this platform enables calibration‐free, multiplexed transdermal sensing of physiologically relevant biomarkers ...

Activating a Metallization Switch for Record Hydrogen Evolution in Single‐Atom Modified Polar MOF Piezocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Piezocatalytic hydrogen evolution enables the conversion of mechanical energy into chemical fuels, but its efficiency is constrained by a trade‐off between piezoelectric polarization and electronic conductivity. Strong piezoelectric polarization is essential for sufficient driving force, yet highly polar materials typically suffer from poor ...

Distributed Learning in Multi-Armed Bandit with Multiple Players

open access: yes, 2010
We formulate and study a decentralized multi-armed bandit (MAB) problem. There are M distributed players competing for N independent arms. Each arm, when played, offers i.i.d. reward according to a distribution with an unknown parameter.
