Modelling Strategic Deceptive Planning in Adversarial Multi-Agent Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Deception is virtually ubiquitous in warfare, and should be a central consideration for military operations research. However, studies of agent behaviour in simulated operations have typically neglected to include explicit models of deception. This paper proposes that a computational model that approximates the human deceptive planning process would ...

Serotonergic modulators in Alzheimer's disease: a hope in the hopeless condition

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Accepted Article.
Alzheimer disease (AD) is the main cause of dementia worldwide. AD is a progressive brain neurodegenerative disease due to genetic and environmental factors that induce a progressive accumulation of intracellular hyperphosphorylated tau protein and extracellular amyloid protein (Aβ).

DeepFake: Deep Dueling-based Deception Strategy to Defeat Reactive Jammers [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we introduce DeepFake, a novel deep reinforcement learning-based deception strategy to deal with reactive jamming attacks. In particular, for a smart and reactive jamming attack, the jammer is able to sense the channel and attack the channel if it detects communications from the legitimate transmitter.

Heterogeneous Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction by Supported Molecular Catalysts Well Dispersed on Electrode Surface

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
This mini review overviews the most recent advances (2020–2024) in heterogeneous electrocatalytic CO2R by well‐dispersed molecular catalysts on electrode surface, mainly focusing on the impacts of efficient molecule‐level dispersion and rational catalyst‐support interactions on electronic properties, multi‐electron transfer kinetics, and overall ...

Lease Accounting Standard (ASC 842), Temporary Book‐Tax Differences, and Capital Market Uncertainty

open access: yesJournal of Corporate Accounting &Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Currently, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is conducting a post‐implementation review of the Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842 lease accounting standard, which underscores the need for academic research regarding the performance and impact of the lease standard in the capital market.

Circulating Tumor DNA as a Marker of Recurrence Risk in Stage III Colorectal Cancer: The α‐CORRECT Study

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Identification of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients at high risk of recurrence could be of substantial clinical use. We evaluated the association of ctDNA status, using a tumor‐informed assay, with recurrence‐free survival (RFS). Methods Stage III CRC patients were enrolled between 2016 and 2020.

Structuring different manifestations of misinformation for better policy development using a decision tree‐based approach

open access: yesPolicy &Internet, EarlyView.
Abstract The spread of false and misleading information in digital communication spaces has enormous potential for harm in democratic societies, but has so far been insufficiently addressed by policy makers. This problem has been exacerbated by recent technological developments such as deepfakes.

Medicines legislation and regulation in the United Kingdom 1500‐2020

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 89, Issue 1, Page 80-92, January 2023., 2023
The initial purposes of regulation of medicines in England, and latterly in the United Kingdom, were principally to raise government revenue, to discourage murder by poisoning and to regulate the activities of pharmacists. It was only much later that regulators sought to ensure that medicines were of good quality, reasonably safe, and at least somewhat

Multi-stage Jamming Attacks Detection using Deep Learning Combined with Kernelized Support Vector Machine in 5G Cloud Radio Access Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In 5G networks, the Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) is considered a promising future architecture in terms of minimizing energy consumption and allocating resources efficiently by providing real-time cloud infrastructures, cooperative radio, and centralized data processing.
