Uterine leukocytes and decidualization

Human Reproduction Update, 2000
The transformation of endometrium into decidua is an essential feature of normal implantation and pregnancy. There is a close association with an unusual leukocyte population, uterine natural killer (NK) cells, and onset of decidualization. These uterine NK cells are seen in close contact with stromal cells ultrastructurally and are also seen ...

STUDIES ON THE MECHANISM OF DECIDUALIZATION. V.

Acta Endocrinologica, 1963
ABSTRACT The uteri of pseudopregnant rats show a peak of metabolic activity on the 4th and 5th day of leucocytic smear. After the administration of 20 mg of pyrathiazine Cl on the 4th day of pseudopregnancy (L4) in order to induce decidualization of the progestational endometrium, the metabolic activity of the uterus becomes intensified.

The Deciduous Forest

1979
The deciduous forests occupy a very conspicuous portion of Europe, practically from latitude 40°N (Puglia, Albania) to 60°N (Scandinavia). They gradually grade through the intermediary of the mixed forests (Mischwald) into coniferous forests or taiga, so that their extension in the sense of longitude is from 10°W to 45°E.
