Highly Acyclic Selective Cobalt Catalysts for Butadiene Dimerization
ChemCatChem, EarlyView.A series of 11 cobalt(II) complexes were prepared and optimised for the linear selective dimerisation of butadiene to give 5‐methyl‐1,3,6‐heptatriene as the major product. The catalysts operated under mild reaction conditions, gave good reactivity and did not require the use of organometallic activators.
