Joint dynamic probabilistic constraints with projected linear decision rules [PDF]
We consider multistage stochastic linear optimization problems combining joint dynamic probabilistic constraints with hard constraints. We develop a method for projecting decision rules onto hard constraints of wait-and-see type.

Jmax-pruning: A facility for the information theoretic pruning of modular classification rules. [PDF]
The Prism family of algorithms induces modular classification rules in contrast to the Top Down Induction of Decision Trees (TDIDT) approach which induces classification rules in the intermediate form of a tree structure.

Identifying COVID-19 Severity-Related SARS-CoV-2 Mutation Using a Machine Learning Method
SARS-CoV-2 shows great evolutionary capacity through a high frequency of genomic variation during transmission. Evolved SARS-CoV-2 often demonstrates resistance to previous vaccines and can cause poor clinical status in patients.

Selected Data Mining Tools for Data Analysis in Distributed Environment
In this paper, we deal with distributed data represented either as a finite set T of decision tables with equal sets of attributes or a finite set I of information systems with equal sets of attributes.

ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

Asymmetric parametric division rules [PDF]
We describe and characterize the family of asymmetric parametric division rules for the adjudication of conflicting claims. We use two approaches to characterize this family.

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...
