Mutual Adaptation and Influence: Review of Latent Dynamics Models in Human–Robot Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Robots are becoming better teammates by learning hidden patterns in how people act. This review covers how state‐of‐the‐art approaches leverage these patterns to help robots not only react but also anticipate and guide cooperation. Here, we synthesize a unifying framework for these approaches, classify and review existing works, and highlight key ...

Half-Duplex Decode-Partial-Forward

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a new transmission scheme, which we call Decode-Partial-Forward (DPF), for orthogonal half-duplex relay channels. We demonstrate that the DPF scheme achieves significantly higher rates than the conventional DF scheme that is based on repetition coding and it performs close to the capacity bounds of DF relaying.

A joint decode-and-forward strategy for physical network coding based on factor graphs

open access: yes, 2012
International audienceWe consider physical network coding on a two-way relay channel. Two source nodes send their packets simultaneously over time-varying MIMO channels to a relay node.

Precoder Design for Correlated Multi-Antenna Cooperative Systems with Partial Decode and Forward Protocol and MMSE-SIC Receivers

open access: yes, 2009
Cooperative communication is an important technology in next generation wireless networks. Partial decode-and-forward provides an alternative solution for the conventional amplify-and-forward as well as decode-and-forward relay protocols.

Secrecy Performance Analysis of Relay Selection in Cooperative NOMA Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper investigates the security performance of two relay selection schemes for cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems, where K randomly distributed relays are employed with either decode-and-forward (DF) or amplify-and-forward (AF)

Adaptive AF/DF Selection With FD/HD Switching in Two-Way Relay Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The full-duplex (FD) and two-way relay are promising techniques for their high spectrum efficiency. However, the incompletely self-interference cancellation may reduce the performance gain of two-way relay networks, which operates in FD mode.
