Message Priority in Two-Way Decode-Forward Relaying

2016 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2016
In this paper, we examine message prioritization in terms of both rate and reliability in the two-way relay channel using decode-forward relaying. Each source sends both a low priority message and a high priority message. We design a scheme that routes the high priority messages through the relay and direct link but the low priority message is only ...

Hybrid Decode-Forward Amplify-Forward Relaying with Opportunistic Layered Multicast

2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP), 2018
In this paper, we propose a hybrid decode-forward & amplify-forward relaying with opportunistic layered multicast (HDAF-OLM) scheme for a cellular system with multiple relays and multiple users. The scheme integrates hybrid decode-forward and amplify-forward with non-orthogonal multiple access transmission (HDAF-NOMA) scheme and layered multicast ...

Rateless coded hybrid amplify/decode-forward cooperation for wireless multicast

2012 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2012
We consider a cooperative wireless multicast channel with no channel state information available at the transmitters, and where all wireless links undergo independent identically distributed quasi-static Rayleigh fading. For cooperation, we propose a rateless coded approach and identify its benefits over a conventional fixed-rate two-hop strategy.

A New Switching Superposition Strategy in Decode-Forward Relay System

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2018
In this correspondence paper, a decode-forward relay system with a source, a relay, and a destination is considered. A new switching superposition-coded (NSSC) relay scheme is proposed to improve error performance by increasing the equivalent squared minimum distance.

Decoding forward error correction code in a priori uncertainty

Proceedings of the Southwest State University. Series: IT Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Medical Equipment Engineering
The purpose of research is to increase the efficiency of decoding noise–resistant block codes in conditions of a priori uncertainty about the parameters used.Methods. In modern systems, the use of noise-resistant block codes with a large codeword length is noted, which allows the permitted code combinations to be sufficiently far apart from each other ...

On the maximum achievable rates in the decode-forward diamond channel

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2011
This paper studies the problem of two-hop transmission from a single-antenna source to a single-antenna destination via two single-antenna relays. The relays operate in a full-duplex mode and they are not capable of buffering data. The links from the source to the relays and from the relays to the destination are considered to be Rayleigh block fading ...

MIMO Precoder Selections in Decode-Forward Relay Networks with Finite Feedback

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2011
We consider a system with precoding in the half duplex Decode-Forward (DF) relay networks, where multiple antennas are adopted at the source, the destination and the relay. Based on the channel state information (CSI), a few feedback bits are fed back from the destination to the source and the relay to select the source and the relay precoders.

Energy Efficiency of Cooperative SIMO Schemes -Amplify Forward and Decode Forward

2009 Proceedings of 18th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks, 2009
In this paper, we quantify and compare the en- ergy efficiency of Amplify-and-Forward (AF) and Decode-and- Forward (DF) schemes on a basic three node cooperative network. Total energy is calculated considering circuit energy as well as transmission energy.

Symbol-level selective decode-forward relaying for uncoordinated dense wireless networks

2015 IEEE 20th International Workshop on Computer Aided Modelling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD), 2015
In this paper, we investigate symbol-level selective decode-forward (SDF) relaying for uncoordinated dense wireless networks. The main objective is to establish reliable communications for such wireless networks, which cannot have accurate link budget allocation due to signalling overhead limitation.

Link Regimes Analysis for Partial Decode-Forward Two-Way Relay Transmission

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2017
We propose a composite decode-forward (DF) scheme for the two-way relay channel in the full-duplex mode by combining coherent, independent, and partial relaying strategies. The relay partially decodes each user’s information in each block and forwards this information coherently with the source user to the destination user in the next block as in block
