Combined decode-forward and layered noisy network coding schemes for relay channels [PDF]

open access: yes2012 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2012
We propose two coding schemes combining decode-forward (DF) and noisy network coding (NNC) with different flavors. The first is a combined DF-NNC scheme for the one-way relay channel which includes both DF and NNC as special cases by performing rate splitting, partial block Markov encoding and NNC.

Product-Decode-Forward Scheme for Two-way Relay Networks

open access: yesDEStech Transactions on Engineering and Technology Research, 2016
In this paper, we propose a new efficient Product-Decode-Forward (PDF) scheme for two-way relay networks, where two source nodes communicate with each other with the help of relay nodes. In the proposed scheme, the relay node only performs decoding once on the product of received signals from two sources and broadcasts to source nodes.

HARQ Aided Systematic LT Coding for Amplify-Forward and Decode-Forward Cooperation [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010
Systematic Luby Transform (SLT) codes constitute rateless codes, which are capable of adaptively adjusting their code rate depending on the channel quality without explicit channel state information (CSI) at the transmitters. SLTs are also suitable for space-time collaboration aided relay networks.

Optimal Relay Selection Scheme Based on Hybrid Decode-Amplify-and-Forward [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
In order to extend the network life on the base of lower Symbol Error Rate(SER),a relay selection scheme based on Hybrid Decode-Amplify-and-Forward(HDAF) relaying method is proposed.Joint optimization function about receiving Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR ...

Capacity Theorems for the AWGN Multi-Way Relay Channel

open access: yes, 2010
The L-user additive white Gaussian noise multi-way relay channel is considered, where multiple users exchange information through a single relay at a common rate. Existing coding strategies, i.e., complete-decode-forward and compress-forward are shown to

Successive Decode-and-Forward Relaying With Privacy-Aware Interference Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Successive relaying holds the promise of achieving spatial diversity gain for single-antenna users while recovering the multiplexing loss due to the half-duplex relaying in B5G/6G.

On Capacity and Optimal Scheduling for the Half-Duplex Multiple-Relay Channel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the half-duplex multiple-relay channel (HD-MRC) where every node can either transmit or listen but cannot do both at the same time. We obtain a capacity upper bound based on a max-flow min-cut argument and achievable transmission rates based on ...
