Drought Impacts on Tree Root Traits Are Linked to Their Decomposability and Net Carbon Release
Root trait plasticity can facilitate plant adjustment to water shortages, but the impact of altered traits on belowground carbon (C) cycling is mostly unknown.

In composite Higgs models the Higgs is a pseudo-Goldstone boson of a high-energy strong dynamics. We have constructed the effective chiral Lagrangian for a generic symmetric coset, restricting to CP-even bosonic operators up to four momenta which turn out to depend on seven parameters, aside from kinetic terms.

Tensor Decomposition for Signal Processing and Machine Learning [PDF]
Tensors or multiway arrays are functions of three or more indices $(i,j,k,\ldots)$—similar to matrices (two-way arrays), which are functions of two indices $(r,c)$ for (row, column).

ON SHIMURA'S DECOMPOSITION [PDF]
Let k be an odd integer ≥ 3 and N be a positive integer such that 4|N. Let χ be an even Dirichlet character modulo N. Shimura decomposes the space of half-integral weight cusp forms Sk/2(N,χ) as a direct sum [Formula: see text] where F runs through all newforms of weight k - 1, level dividing N/2 and character χ2, the space Sk/2(N,χ,F) is the subspace

Sector decomposition is a constructive method to isolate divergences from parameter integrals occurring in perturbative quantum field theory. We explain the general algorithm in detail and review its application to multiloop Feynman parameter integrals as well as infrared divergent phase-space integrals over real radiation matrix elements.

Biotic and abiotic synergies in a log ecosystem
Log ecosystems are unique ecosystems that arise from fallen trees, forming microhabitats that exhibit distinct ecological dynamics. This paper aims to describe what a log ecosystem is and what are its components and their connection.
