Martensite decomposition kinetics in additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4 V alloy: in-situ characterisation and phase-field modelling

open access: yes
Additive manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V alloy via laser powder-bed fusion leads to non-equilibrium ′ martensitic microstructures, with high strength but poor ductility and toughness.

Catalytic Decomposition Of Potassium Monopersulfate. The Kinetics

open access: yes, 2009
Potassium monopersulfate has been decomposed in aqueous solution in the presence of Co(II). The process has been simulated by means of a mechanism based on elementary reactions. Rate constants have been taken from literature reports or, alternatively, assimilated to analogous reactions occurring in Fenton's chemistry.

Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Affinity‐Tuned Albumin Hitchhiking Extends the Bioorthogonal Capture Window in Pretargeting Radiotheranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

Thermal decomposition kinetics of AsF5-doped polyacetylene in vacuum

open access: yes, 1980
Electrical conductivity measurements, mass spectra of desorbing species, and ESCA surface analysis are reported for AsF5-doped polyacetylene heated between 50 and 130°C in vacuum.

Facile decomposition of phytate in the solid-state: Kinetics and decomposition pathways

open access: yesPhosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2017
The thermal decomposition of myo-inositol hexakisphosphate (phytate) in the solid state and in aqueous solution was investigated using 31P NMR spectroscopy. The progression of phytate decomposition was consistent with facile thermal dephosphorylation resulting in a cascading mixture of lower order inositol phosphates with similar, but not identical ...

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Studies on thermal decomposition mechanism and kinetics of aspirin

open access: yes, 2004
The mechanism of thermal decomposition of aspirin was studied by both thermogravimetry and Mayer bond orders calculated by Cerius2 software. The parameters of thermal decomposition kinetics for aspirin, such as activation energy (E), reaction order (n ...

Nematic-isotropic spinodal decomposition kinetics of rodlike viruses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate spinodal decomposition kinetics of an initially nematic dispersion of rodlike viruses. Quench experiments are performed from a flow-stabilized homogeneous nematic state at a high shear rate into the two-phase isotropic-nematic coexistence ...
