Student Outcomes From Participation in the Mental Health Action Plan Pilot Program: A Case Study

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Since schools are an ideal setting for students to receive mental health services, Mental Health Action Plans (MHAPs) were developed to define and detail the ways in which student mental health needs can be addressed at school. Similar to Individualized Education Plans and 504 plans, MHAPs are individualized plans, grounded in person‐centered ...

Preoperative spinal education for lumbar spinal stenosis (POSE‐LSS): A qualitative analysis of patient experiences

open access: yesPM&R, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Surgical intervention for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is common and associated with high rates of postoperative side effects or complications. Prehabilitation programs aim to reduce postoperative complications and enhance outcomes.

Total energy conservation for explaining discrepancies between field observations and the traditional thermal energy balance

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Motivated by discrepancies between field observations and the traditional thermal energy balance derived from the first law of thermodynamics, total energy conservation is applied to derive a generalized thermal energy balance for atmospheric applications. Total energy conservation accounts for all forms of energy variation, including kinetic, thermal,

Sonographic Imaging of the Superficial Radial Nerve and its Branches: A Pictorial Review

open access: yesSonography, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Entrapment of the superficial radial nerve (SRN) can be a source of radial wrist, dorsal hand, and thumb pain which can be challenging to clinically differentiate from other pathological entities. Ultrasound allows direct visualization of the SRN and its branches as well as the assessment of the site, extent, and type of nerve injury or ...

Helical Carbon Fiber‐Based Phase Change Thermal Interface Materials: Unlocking Superior Thermal Conductivity through Novel Structural Engineering

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel design of helical carbon fiber composites achieving a through‐plane thermal conductivity of 2.97 W m−1 K−1 and 80% rebound rate. Integrated with paraffin wax, the phase change thermal interface material exhibits a thermal conductivity of 3.72 W m−1 K−1, a latent heat of 150 J g−1, and minimal leakage of 1.55 wt%. Effective
