Assessment of endoscopic and external approaches for frontal sinus lesions

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives The use of endoscopic approaches has revolutionized the management of frontal sinus (FS) lesions. However, external approaches still play a significant role in select conditions. Various factors determine the decision to utilize endoscopic or external approaches such as the lesion location, extension, and patient's characteristics ...

Atomic Coordination, Chemical Bonding, and Electronic State of Praseodymium in Pr2Si7

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Pr2Si7 is obtained by high‐pressure, high‐temperature synthesis. The topological coordination numbers underline the significance of the silicon partial structure. The homoatomic connectivity within the polyanionic framework in combination with the formation of lone pairs clearly indicates a hypervalent bonding situation for silicon.

Experimental assessment of containers running on top of virtual machines

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
In this paper, the performance of containers running on top of virtual machines is experimentally compared with standalone virtual machines and containers based on different hardware resources, including the processor, main memory, disk, and network in a real testbed by running the most commonly used benchmarks.

Understanding and predicting animal movements and distributions in the Anthropocene

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 94, Issue 6, Page 1146-1164, June 2025.
This review provides a framework to better understand and predict animal movements and distributions in human‐modified environments. Bridging the gap between movement models and management/conservation policy is challenging. Here, the recommendations presented highlight the exciting opportunities now available to advance the field of movement ecology ...
