‘It is no longer a problem’—An examination of the evolution of psychoanalytic ideas in relation to male homosexuality using interpretative phenomenological analysis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Psychotherapy, EarlyView.
Abstract The historical treatment of homosexuality in psychoanalysis has ranged from pathologization to discrimination. Despite recent attempts at inclusion, gay analysts and patients still report bias within the field. This study explored the experiences of gay and heterosexual psychoanalysts regarding the discipline's attitude towards homosexuality ...

Implementing Design Thinking in Early‐Stage Start‐Up Innovation Processes: The Case of MedTech/HealthTech Sector

open access: yesCreativity and Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although the value of design thinking (DT) in the innovation processes of large organisations is widely examined within the literature, its role and value for early‐stage start‐up innovation processes remains less well understood. This study investigates how start‐up founders implement DT practices in the early‐stage start‐up innovation ...

Disrupting the Child Welfare Participation Paradigm: A Contextual, Relational, Embedded and Pragmatic Approach

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Child and parent participation is fundamental to effective child welfare practice. Legislative imperatives assert the right to participate, but in a child welfare context, participation is complex and risks becoming rhetorical. This paper, based on a conceptual synthesis built from second person action research and a narrative review, explores

Computing Skinning Weights via Convex Duality

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We present an alternate optimization method to compute bounded biharmonic skinning weights. Our method relies on a dual formulation, which can be optimized with a nonnegative linear least squares setup. Abstract We study the problem of optimising for skinning weights through the lens of convex duality.

Design Considerations for Visualization Transitions of 3D Spatial Data in Hybrid AR‐Desktop Environments

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We present design considerations for animated transitions of the appearance of 3D spatial datasets in a hybrid Augmented Reality‐desktop context. Such hybrid interfaces combine both traditional and immersive displays to facilitate the exploration of 2D and 3D data representations in the environment in which they are best displayed.
