The Cardiac Sympathetic Nerve Activity in the Elderly Is Attenuated in the Right Lateral Decubitus Position

open access: yesGerontology and Geriatric Medicine, 2017
Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the supine, left lateral decubitus, and right lateral decubitus positions on autonomic nervous activity in elderly adults by using spectral analysis of heart rate variability (HRV).

Ultrasound‐based renal growth curves in Chinese children aged 0–14 years

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
Between June 2016 and July 2023, 6033 Chinese children aged 0–14 were recruited from our hospital using renal ultrasound examinations. This study provides comprehensive reference data for renal development in Chinese children aged 0–14 years, highlighting age‐related patterns and strong positive associations with height.

Multifrequency Multiparameter Magnetic Resonance Elastography Applied to an In Vivo Porcine Model for Assessing Portal Hypertension

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
Portal hypertension, a critical complication in chronic liver disease, has long relied on invasive hepatic venous pressure gradient measurement for definitive diagnosis. This study establishes that multifrequency three‐dimensional magnetic resonance elastography (3D‐MRE) can noninvasively quantify portal pressure, with splenic stiffness and loss ...

A preferred patient decubitus positioning for magnetic resonance image guided online adaptive radiation therapy of pancreatic cancer

open access: yesPhysics and Imaging in Radiation Oncology, 2019
Background and purpose: In radiotherapy (RT) for pancreatic cancer, the dose to adjacent organs-at-risk (OAR) often limits the delivery of curative dose.

Fast Quantitative Evaluation of the Amelioration Effect in MASLD During Semaglutide Treatment Using Ultrasound‐Derived Fat Fraction and Fat‐to‐Muscle Ratio

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a chronic liver disease. Research into a feasible, rapid, and effective assessment method is crucial for evaluating the therapeutic effects of semaglutide in MASLD. This prospective study utilized ultrasound‐derived fat fraction measurement and fat‐to‐muscle ratio to evaluate hepatic ...

Lateral Decubitus Position for Arthroscopic Suprapectoral Biceps Tenodesis

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2020
The purpose of this report is to describe arthroscopic suprapectoral biceps tenodesis in the lateral decubitus position. Many technique descriptions for this procedure emphasize the beach-chair position to obtain optimal anterior subdeltoid visualization

Impact of barometric pressure on blood pressure during dialysis: Introducing intradialytic time‐averaged cumulative systolic blood pressure (TACsBP‐inD) as a new metric

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 525-534, June 2025.
Abstract Background Blood pressure is a crucial risk factor for hemodialysis patients, but the specific impact of weather factors, particularly barometric pressure, on blood pressure remains unclear. This study aims to examine the relationship between barometric pressure and blood pressure in hemodialysis patients. Methods We conducted a single‐center,
