Natural Deduction in a Paracomplete Setting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we present the automated proof search technique in natural deduction paracomplete logic. Here, for some statements we do not have evidence to conclude if they are true or false, as it happens in the classical framework.

Ion‐Driven Regulation of Ca2+ Flow by Ti/Zn Composite Activates ERK/MAPK Signaling and Maintains Mitochondrial Homeostasis to Promote Macrophage‐Mediated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed interpenetrating Ti/Zn composite enables sustained Zn2+ release to regulate intracellular Ca2+ redistribution, preserve mitochondrial homeostasis, activate ERK/MAPK signaling, and promote M2 macrophage polarization, thereby enhancing osteoimmune‐mediated bone regeneration and peri‐implant osseointegration.

Delicate Management of Alkaline‐Substrate‐Induced Interfacial Reactions Enables High‐Efficiency and Stable Deep‐Red CsPbI3 Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We develop a magnesium‐doping strategy to delicately modulate the alkaline substrate‐induced reactions, ensuring high‐quality CsPbI3 perovskite emissive layers with substantially improved stability. The resultant deep‐red LEDs demonstrate a high peak external quantum efficiency of 23.62% and an exceptional half‐lifetime stability of 376 h at 20 mA cm−2,

Specializing interpreters using offline partial deduction

open access: yes, 2003
We present the latest version of the LOGEN partial evaluation system for logic programs. In particular we present new binding-types, and show how they can be used to effectively specialise a wide variety of interpreters.

Toward High‐Resolution Polymeric Neural Interfaces: A Practical Guide for Electron Beam Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electron beam lithography (EBL) enables sub‐micron patterning of polymer‐based neural implants, overcoming the resolution limits of optical lithography. By addressing challenges such as charging, non‐planarity, and substrate heating, it supports higher channel density, improved miniaturization, and better long‐term tissue integration.

Bioinspired Porphyrin‐Based Catalysts From Temporospatial Confined Frameworks for Ultrafast Removal of Sulfaclozine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the rational design of artificial photocatalysts with asymmetrically coordinated dual‐metal centers and a tailored microenvironment, broadly applicable strategy is established for the synthesis of multivariate zirconium‐based metal–organic frameworks, offering a platform for precisely tuning active‐site configurations to optimize ...

Current Estate Planning Topics - Marital Deduction Pitfalls: Part I

open access: yes, 1991
Full-text available at SSRN. See link in this record. This article addresses the deduction for marital transfers under the United States estate tax. This is by far the most important deduction under the estate tax, and loss of the deduction can be very ...

Sublattice‐Resolved Magnetoelastic Coupling and Opposing Pressure Responses in the Frustrated Magnetocaloric GdMn2O5

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In GdMn2O5, sublattice‐resolved EXAFS and diffraction analysis reveal pronounced spin‐phonon coupling and an unexpected opposing pressure response: the Mn‐driven Néel temperature slightly decreases while the Gd‐sublattice ordering temperature rises under pressures up to 0.86 GPa.
