ABSTRACT To investigate the hydraulic fracturing mechanism of high‐fluid wells in the Yangquan mining area, coal seams from the Xinyuan and Xinjing mines were selected as research subjects. Experiments were conducted using the TCQT‐III low‐permeability coalbed gas‐phase displacement and production enhancement apparatus, along with the FINESORB‐3120 ...

CONSTRAINING THE MEAN RESIDENCE TIME AND FLOWPATH OF GROUNDWATER THROUGH COAL SEAMS USING NOBLE GASES [PDF]
Noble gases, specifically 4He concentrations, can be a useful tool for determining the rates of groundwater recharge, subsurface residence times, and groundwater flowpaths, especially in difficult to model complex formations such as fractured aquifers ...

A new phenomenon of pulsation of steam permeability is discovered. The permeability of high‐temperature steam in coal shows a periodic pulsation pattern with an increase in the injection time. A two‐phase flow theory of gas–liquid is adopted to elucidate the mechanism of pulsating seepage of steam.

Unconventional Gas in the Benelux: Cautious Attitudes and Regional Interplay [PDF]
The three countries of the Benelux are often overlooked in Europe’s current unconventional gas debate. But the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg all possess considerable shale gas resources, and major energy companies have already taken an interest. So

Gas Content and Gas Occurrence Mechanism of Deep Coal Seams in the Shenfu-Linxing Block
The Shenfu-Linxing block in the Ordos Basin holds abundant deep coalbed methane (CBM) resources, which can alleviate gas shortages and aid dual carbon target achievement. Considering isothermal adsorption traits and parameters like vitrinite reflectance,
