Seismic interaction analysis of deep excavation- piled foundation in soft soils [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Structural and Construction Engineering, 2021
Dynamic interaction analysis of deep excavation-piled foundation in soft soils is studied. In this contribution, deep excavation is considered to be adjacent to the piled foundation.

Numerical Analysis of Deep Excavation

open access: yesUniversity of Khartoum Engineering Journal, 2022
Because of limited knowledge on experience on deep excavation analysis in Sudan, this study aimed to study numerical models for modeling deep excavation and adjacent buildings or public facilities near by the excavation. A series of parametric studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of wall stiffness and strut stiffness.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.
