Reconstruction of the deep femoral artery.
Acta chirurgica Scandinavica. Supplementum, 1978Deep femoral artery reconstruction was performed on 54 extremities. Best results were obtained in patients with severe rest pain and minor ischemic ulcerations. Intermittent claudication generally did not improve significantly. The mean operative flow to deep femoral artery was 170 mg/min. and the increase in peripheral pressure 20 mm Hg.

Atherosclerotic femoral artery aneurysms: increase in deep femoral aneurysms?
Panminerva medica, 1997Based on a clinical suspicion of an increase in the proportion of deep femoral aneurysms, we reviewed the case records of patients who underwent reconstructive procedures for femoral aneurysms to investigate if this could be confirmed and explained by selection of patient or modality of diagnosis.

Flow Dynamics xof the Deep Femoral Artery
1981As early as 1972, Caro (1) expressed the opinion that depositions of cholesterol in the vessel wall occur preferentially in the vessel wall region with flow disturbance, such as we find at vessel branchings and junctions. After Caro postulated that these are a prestage of the arteriosclerotic plaque, Stein and Sabbah (16) measured turbulences for the ...

[True aneurysm of the deep femoral artery].
Magyar sebeszet, 2002Aneurysms of the profunda femoris artery are very rare. The frequency of these aneurysms is 0.5-1% of all peripheral atherosclerotic aneurysms. This condition can be symptom free for an extended period of time. In one third of the patients, palpable, pulsating swelling appears in the groin. Complications such as rupture, peripherial embolism, deep vein

Some considerations concerning the deep femoral artery.
Archivum chirurgicum Neerlandicum, 1975The great importance of the deep femoral artery as a collateral vessel in occlusion of the superficial femoral artery is a well-established fact. It has been found in the course of reconstructive operations of this artery that the origin of the two circumflex arteries varies considerably.
