Centrifugal model tests on characteristics of deep foundation pits in starting well of shield tunneling machine

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
In order to explore the stress, deformation and soil pressure distribution of the surrounding soils during the excavation process of deep foundation pits in starting well of the shield tunneling machine, two sets of centrifugal model tests are conducted ...

Experimental Study on the Variation Law of Excess Pore Water Pressure at the Bottom of the Foundation Pit for Excavation

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
The excavation unloading of deep foundation pits in soft soil areas often produces negative excess pore water pressure. The rebound deformation of soil on the excavation surface of the foundation pit can be predicted reliably through the accurate ...

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

A discussion of the Prandlt calculation formula for anti-uplift stability of the bottom of a foundation pit wall in deep soft soil areas

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi, 2021
The Prandlt formula is often used to calculate the anti-uplift stability of foundation pits in deep soft soil areas, which often fails to meet the specification requirements and brings great confusion to the design of foundation pit support. Based on the

Clinical Outcomes of SEEG‐Guided Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation in Children With Focal Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy: A Multicenter Real‐World Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stereoelectroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (SEEG‐RFTC) has emerged as a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for children with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy. Although evidence from real‐world studies remains limited, numerous pediatric cases have demonstrated promising outcomes. This retrospective

Clinical, Histologic, and Serological Predictors of Renal Function Loss in Lupus Nephritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Kidney survival is the ultimate goal in lupus nephritis (LN) management, but long‐term predictors remain inadequately studied, requiring long‐term follow‐up. This study aimed to identify baseline and early longitudinal predictors of kidney survival in the Accelerating Medicines Partnership LN longitudinal cohort.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Displacement analysis and numerical simulation of pile-anchor retaining structure in deep foundation pit [PDF]

open access: yes
Foundation pit excavation can cause settlement and displacement of surrounding existing buildings and roads. In order to study the influence of soil unloading on the surrounding buildings during pit foundation excavation, the application of a pile-anchor
