DEEP INELASTIC SCATTERING AT HERA [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1998
Results from the H1 and ZEUS experiments at HERA on deep inelastic scattering are reviewed. The data lead to a consistent picture of a steep rise in the F2 structure function and in the gluon density within the proton. Important new information on the partonic structure of diffraction is emerging from H1 and ZEUS.

Quark-sector Lorentz violation in Z-boson production

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Quark-sector Lorentz violation is studied in the context of Drell-Yan dilepton production including effects from Z-boson exchange. We show the chiral nature of the weak interactions enables parity-violating and spin-dependent effects to be studied using ...

Studies of Nucleon Spin Structure at HERMES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The HERMES experiment studies the spin structure of the nucleon using polarized semi-inclusive deep-inelastic positron scattering and polarized quasi-real photoproduction.

Deep inelastic scattering of leptons [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1976
The description of deep inelastic scattering as an extrapolation between resonance production and diffractive scattering is extended to give successful quantitative representations for the structure functions of unpolarized electron scattering on protons and neutrons, and of neutrino, antineutrino scattering on nucleons.

A new approach to semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering with QED and QCD factorization

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We present the details of a new factorized approach to semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering which treats QED and QCD radiation on equal footing, and provides a systematically improvable approximation to the extraction of transverse momentum dependent

QED and Electroweak Corrections to Deep Inelastic Scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We describe the state of the art in the field of radiative corrections for deep inelastic scattering. Different methods of calculation of radiative corrections are reviewed.

The Physics of Deep Inelastic Scattering at HERA [PDF]

open access: yesCollective Motion and Phase Transitions in Nuclear Systems, 2007
In this paper an introduction to the physics of deep-inelastic scattering is given together with an account of some of the most recent results on the proton structure obtained in electron-- and positron--proton collisions at the HERA collider.
