Neutrino telescopes as QCD microscopes
We present state-of-the-art predictions for the ultra-high energy (UHE) neutrino-nucleus cross-sections in charged- and neutral-current scattering. The calculation is performed in the framework of collinear factorisation at NNLO, extended to include the ...

Deep inelastic scattering, diffraction and all that [PDF]
These lectures include an introduction to the partonic description of the proton, the photon and the `colour singlet', as seen in inclusive and semi-inclusive DIS, in $e^+e^-$ collisions, and in diffractive processes, respectively. Their formal treatment using structure, fragmentation, and fracture functions is outlined giving an insight into the ...

New analysis concerning the strange quark polarization puzzle
The fact that analyses of semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering suggest that the polarized strange quark density $\Delta s(x) + \Delta \bar{s}(x)$ is positive in the measured region of Bjorken x, whereas all analyses of inclusive deep inelastic ...

The influence of postdeposition treatments on the formation of self‐assembling (mono)layers commonly utilized as hole transport layers in perovskite‐based solar cells is thoroughly investigated. The implementation of a washing step and an annealing step at temperatures exceeding the current literature standards leads to an enhanced layer quality and ...

Limits on electroweak instanton-induced processes with multiple boson production
Recently, the CMS collaboration has reported their search for electroweak instanton-like processes with anomalous B + L violation assuming multi-fermion but zero-boson final states. On the other hand, many theoretical studies suggest that anomalous B + L

Recycling of Thermoplastics with Machine Learning: A Review
This review shows how machine learning is revolutionizing mechanical, chemical, and biological pathways, overcoming traditional challenges and optimizing sorting, efficiency, and quality. It provides a detailed analysis of effective feature engineering strategies and establishes a forward‐looking research agenda for a truly circular thermoplastic ...

Quark exchange in deep inelastic scattering [PDF]
We use a model for baryons that links the constituent structure to the deep inelastic (current) properties. The approach consists in a laboratory partonic description (based on a model of hadron structure), to which a low momentum scaleQ 0 is adscribed, which is evolved to high momenta by means of the renormalization group.

Lambda and Lambda-bar Polarization in Lepton Induced Processes
The study of the longitudinal polarization of Lambda and Lambda-bar hyperons produced in polarized deep inelastic scattering, neutrino scattering, and in Z0 decays allows to access the spin dynamics of the quark fragmentation process.

QED and Electroweak Corrections to Deep Inelastic Scattering [PDF]
We describe the state of the art in the field of radiative corrections for deep inelastic scattering. Different methods of calculation of radiative corrections are reviewed.
