Unit Commitment Optimization Model Considering Impact of Multiple Operating Conditions on Unit Life Loss

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
Thermal power units face a dilemma of accelerated lifespan degradation and extended service duration. On one hand, large-scale integration of new energy sources has increased peak shaving conditions and accelerated losses of the units. On the other hand,

Development‐based In Vivo Bioreactor Strategy for Challenging Senescent Bone Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a development‐based in vivo bioreactor strategy to generate rejuvenated bone grafts (vBR‐Bone) within aged hosts. By enclosing vBR‐Bone fragments within an asymmetric biomimetic periosteum, segmental femoral defects in aged mice were successfully repaired within 6 weeks. Mechanistically, the multifactors of vBR‐Bone reconstitute a remodeling

Hierarchical Optimization Strategy for Integrated Water–Wind–Solar System Considering Load Control of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

open access: yesEnergies
For a high proportion of new energy with access to the grid, the typical random volatility of wind power and photovoltaic output greatly increases the peak load of the grid; in addition, the problem of wind and solar abandonment needs to be solved.

Cars2‐Mediated Cysteine Catabolism Drives Brown Fat Development and Thermogenesis Through Persulfidating EBF2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that Cars2, a cysteine catabolic enzyme in mouse iBAT, is critical for cold tolerance and brown adipocyte differentiation. Through its CPERS activity, Cars2 produces CysSSH/H2S to induce EBF2 persulfidation, promoting its interaction with PPARγ and BRG1 to enhance thermogenic gene expression.

Integrating Electrical Heating Fluidized-Bed Heat Storage with Coal-Fired Power Plant for Deep Peak Shaving

open access: yesEnergies
An electrical heating fluidized-bed thermal energy storage (EH-FB-TES) system is proposed for integration with a coal-fired power plant (CFPP) for deep peak shaving (DPS) due to its high energy storage density and extensive heat exchange performance. The
