Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Infant Embryonal CNS Tumors: Molecular Insights and Treatment Considerations for Contemporary Pediatric Neuro‐Oncology

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Embryonal tumors comprise the majority of malignant central nervous system (CNS) neoplasms diagnosed in children under 3 years of age. Compared with their counterparts in older children, these tumors exhibit distinct molecular biology and a more aggressive clinical phenotype, while their management is complicated by the heightened ...

Structure of the Earth crust and upper mantle along seismological profile Mezen–Timan–Pechora (MEZTIMPECH)

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2020
Object of study. The article was devoted to investigation of the depth structure of the Earth’s crust and upper mantle along the Mezen–Timan–Pechora seismic profile (MEZTIMPECH), crossing the southern parts of the Mezen syneclise, the Timan ridge and the

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

A new geological and geophysical interpretation to potential felds near ESRU. The paper 1. Wesern part of the Urals

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2016
A new 2D-model of geological structure in the vicinity of Europrobe seismic reflection profiling in the Urals (ESRU) was built to the depth of 15 km. For the first time as a result of analysis of anomalous fields behavior on the parallel profiles in 2D ...

Rock magnetism of quartz and feldspars chemically separated from pelagic red clay: a new approach to provenance study

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2018
Magnetic mineral inclusions in silicates are widespread in sediments as well as in igneous rocks. Because they are isolated from surrounding environment, they have potential to preserve original magnetic signature even in chemically altered sediments ...

Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Deep Structured Generative Models

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
Deep generative models have shown promising results in generating realistic images, but it is still non-trivial to generate images with complicated structures. The main reason is that most of the current generative models fail to explore the structures in the images including spatial layout and semantic relations between objects. To address this issue,

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
