Copious questions in global change biology require estimates of climatic suitability for species in the past or future, often via transfers of ecological niche models (ENMs) using outputs from global circulation models (GCMs). However, available GCMs differ markedly, affecting hindcasts and forecasts of species potential distributions. We propose using

ABSTRACT Recently, two independently published papers put forward separate frameworks to explain several different biases. Although the two frameworks do not contradict each other, their mere co‐existence is an unsatisfactory state as psychological theory is not advanced.

ABSTRACT Microgrids with integrated renewable energy sources are becoming more and more important in the fast‐changing electrical energy production scenario. An 8 kW wind generator and a 4.5 kW solar photovoltaic system are the two renewable energy sources utilized in the hybrid alternating current (AC) and/or direct current (DC) microgrid ...

The default way of proving holographic entropy inequalities is the contraction method. It divides Ryu-Takayanagi (RT) surfaces on the ‘greater than’ side of the inequality into segments, then glues the segments into candidate RT surfaces for terms on the

FASQuiC: Flexible Architecture for Scalable Spin Qubit Control
As scaling becomes a key issue for large-scale quantum computing, hardware control systems will become increasingly costly in resources. This article presents a compact direct digital synthesis architecture for signal generation adapted for spin qubits ...

Modelling default and likelihood reasoning as probabilistic [PDF]
A probabilistic analysis of plausible reasoning about defaults and about likelihood is presented. 'Likely' and 'by default' are in fact treated as duals in the same sense as 'possibility' and 'necessity'.

Abstract A core principle of reproductive justice (RJ) is the right to have children under one's chosen conditions, emphasizing bodily autonomy. While RJ focuses on equitable access to parenthood, the choice of delivery mode is rarely analyzed through this lens.

Shock‐Triggered Asymmetric Response Stochastic Volatility
ABSTRACT We propose a novel asymmetric stochastic volatility model (STAR‐SV) in which the leverage parameter adjusts to the magnitude of past shocks. This flexible specification captures both the leverage effects and their propagation more effectively than standard asymmetric volatility models.
