Updating the Option Implied Probability of Default Methodology [PDF]
In this paper we ‘update’ the option implied probability of default (option iPoD) approach recently suggested in the literature. First, a numerically more stable objective function for the estimation of the risk neutral density is derived whose integrals

TacScope: A Miniaturized Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor for Surgical Applications
TacScope is a compact, vision‐based tactile sensor designed for robot‐assisted surgery. By leveraging a curved elastomer surface with pressure‐sensitive particle redistribution, it captures high‐resolution 3D tactile feedback. TacScope enables accurate tumor detection and shape classification beneath soft tissue phantoms, offering a scalable, low‐cost ...

Multi‐Site Transfer Classification of Major Depressive Disorder: An fMRI Study in 3335 Subjects
The study proposes graph convolution network with sparse pooling to learn the hierarchical features of brain graph for MDD classification. Experiment is done on multi‐site fMRI samples (3335 subjects, the largest functional dataset of MDD to date) and transfer learning is applied, achieving an average accuracy of 70.14%.

Modeling Banks’ Probability of Default
The unprecedented financial crisis of 2008-2009 has called attention to limitations of existing methods for estimating the default risk of financial intuitions. Over the past decade, we have had considerable success at predicting default and credit relative value using Merton-type structural models and Hybrid Probability of Default models.

Single‐cell transcriptomic and functional analyses identify SEMA3C as a key regulator of tumor progression and tumor microenvironment remodeling in penile squamous cell carcinoma. SEMA3C promotes epithelial–mesenchymal transition, tumor growth, and invasion while shaping an immunosuppressive microenvironment, highlighting its potential as a prognostic ...

Aldosterone‐producing adenomas (APAs) develop via two distinct paths: directly from adrenal zona glomerulosa (zG) cells, or stepwise from zG cells through aldosterone‐producing micronodules (APMs) before progressing to APAs. Advanced single‐cell and spatial analyses identified distinct cell states linked to oxidative stress and cell–cell interactions ...
